Igatpuri (Nashik); Leading News Service: Igatpuri police seized two containers carrying illegal Gutkha from Nashik to Mumbai in a major operation. Along with these two containers, nearly 1 crore 25 lakh worth of goods have been seized.

More information in this regard is that on Friday, we received secret information about illegal Gutkha being transported on the Nashik Mumbai highway. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Shahaji Umap, Upper Superintendent of Police Madhuri Kangane, Deputy Superintendent of Police Arjun Bhosle, Police Inspector Raju Surve, Assistant Police Inspector Sopan Rakhonde, Assistant Police Inspector of Police Superintendent Squad Vikas Dhokre, Police Constables Kishore Kharate, Chetan Savstarkar, Deepak Ahire Igatpuri Police. Thane police constables Sachin Desle, Mukesh Mahire, Rahul Salve, Vijay Rudre, Abhijit Potinde, Girish Bagul, Vinod Tilley, Nilesh Devaraj laid a trap at Primprisdo Chauphuli on the Mumbai-Agra highway and checked two containers going from Nashik to Mumbai. A large amount of gutka was found in it.

The police have seized Gutkha worth 80 lakhs in two containers, in which Gutkha belonging to the company 4KSTAR, SHK has been seized. Along with this, two containers (W.No. HR 38 Z 3937) and (W. No. HR 47 E 9140) have been seized. A total of 1 crore 28 lakh six thousand rupees has been seized.

In this operation, the driver Salman Amin Khan (age 30) and Irfan Amin Khan (age 31, resident of District Palwal, Haryana) were arrested. Further investigation is being conducted by a police team with Assistant Police Inspector Sopan Rakhonde under the guidance of Police Inspector Raju Surve.
