Delhi-NCR residents experienced panic on the morning of February 17, 2025, as a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck the region. The quake’s epicenter was located near Dhaula Kuan, and it sent tremors that shook buildings and rattled nerves.

“I was still asleep when I felt the house shake. It was so sudden, and I just ran out of the apartment,” said Nitin Agarwal, a resident of Noida. “I was scared because I didn’t know if it was over or if the tremors would continue.”

Despite the chaos, no major damage has been reported. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, urging people to stay calm and prepared for any aftershocks. Experts have advised that while such a quake may seem mild, the densely populated areas of Delhi-NCR make it a significant event for public safety.
