Sangli; Leading News Service: The inquiry report regarding recruitment, computerization, furniture etc. during the previous board of directors in the district central bank has been submitted by the inquiry committee to the cooperative department. In it, it has been blamed for huge financial losses to the bank in providing unsecured loans to sugar factories and some other institutions, property purchase, construction and furniture purchase. Apart from that, the recruitment process for 21 technical posts and 400 junior clerical posts is irregular and flawed and there are errors in it. In this case, the investigation officer has given feedback to the government that the bank should be recovered by fixing the liability. Meanwhile, there is talk that the current investigation is political and is due to the muckraking of the leaders. But due to this, the bank, which is important from the point of view of the general public, is being discredited.

A complaint was made to the Cooperative Commissioner against the management of the previous Board of Directors of the Zilla Bank. Taking cognizance of this, the bank was investigated during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. But later this inquiry was suspended. The Shinde-Fadnavis government has come to power after the change of government. Come after this. Gopichand Padalkar demanded to lift the moratorium on the investigation of the district bank. Accordingly, the current government lifted the moratorium and ordered an inquiry. The said inquiry report was submitted to the Cooperative Commissioner.

In the report, errors have been found in construction, purchase of ATM machine and note counting machine, furniture etc. As much as 4 crores 40 lakhs 90 thousand 754 rupees have been spent on this work and it is definitely not appropriate for the bank to spend such a large amount. It has been pointed out in the report that it is a direct waste of the bank’s funds.

A large number of irregularities, illegal – low mortgage loan distribution, wrong process etc. were found in all the transactions.

Will action be taken against the organizations of BJP leaders?

During the previous board of directors, there was a controversy over the post of chairman. Some directors were accused of wrongly disbursing loans to keep their presidency intact. There was a dispute and two groups fell. Further investigation was started and stopped. But there is still the issue of wrongly distributed loans. It also includes related organizations of senior BJP leaders. Therefore, questions are being raised whether the present government will conduct a thorough investigation into the affairs and take action against the culprits.
