Teacher recruitment scam: Supreme Court’s refusal to grant relief to Abhishek Banerjee leader

New Delhi, Leading News Service: Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee’s plea to stay the ongoing investigation by the CBI and ED in the teacher recruitment scam case in West Bengal was rejected by the Supreme Court today (10th). (Teacher recruitment scam)

Calcutta High Court had directed the investigation of Abhishek in this case. The Supreme Court remarked during the hearing that if he wants relief in this regard, he should go back to the Calcutta High Court. Abhishek Banerjee refused to appear despite summons by ED. W. The reason given by Banerjee at that time was that he could not be present at the ED office in Kolkata as he was involved in the ongoing Jan Sanyog Yatra in Bengal. (Teacher recruitment scam)
