New Delhi, Udari News Service : Bike taxi ban in Delhi : The ban on bike taxis in the national capital Delhi will remain in place. The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the order of the Delhi High Court. The High Court had stayed the notice issued by the Delhi government in this regard. Also, the government’s stand is that non-commercial registered two-wheelers should not be used in app-based services like Uber.

A notice was issued to the Delhi government on Rampido’s petition. Rampido had challenged the state government’s law. It was clarified that two-wheelers cannot be registered as transport vehicles under this Act. The High Court had directed the government not to take any strict action against the bike-taxi aggregators until a final policy is decided in this regard.
