Wardha; Leading News Service: An incident of cyber attack by unknown cyber attackers on the account of Wardha Nagari Cooperative Adhikosh Bank here has come to light. An unknown person carried out a cyber attack and transferred an amount of Rs. 1 crore 21 lakh to various accounts online. A case has been registered in the Wardha City Police on the basis of a complaint in this matter.

On Wednesday (May 24), when the bank was closed, the utility of Yes Bank was hacked and cyber attacked by an unknown cyber accused between 6 am and 8 am. In this, an amount of Rs. 1 crore 21 lakh was diverted from the account of Wardha Nagari Bank to various accounts. After opening the bank, when the computer was started and checked, the employees noticed this matter. During the inspection, it was noticed that the amount was transferred to various accounts in the morning. However, as the records of this did not appear in the core banking system, the cyber accused diverted the amount from the account of Wardha Nagari Bank by hacking the utility of Yes Bank.

A cyber attack took place on the bank account in the wee hours of May 24 when all the systems of the bank were down. The Reserve Bank has been informed about this. When the bank employees came to the bank, they found that the Yes Bank account had been cyber-attacked. Yes Bank was immediately contacted and instructed to block all the accounts to which the amount in the Wardha Civil Bank account has been transferred. It was said that an amount of Rs. 30 lakhs has been blocked. In this case, the police registered a case based on the complaint.

The bank’s system was down at the time of the cyber attack. Reported to the police. 30 lakhs have been blocked. Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Kanchan Kelkar said that the Reserve Bank has also been informed about this.
