Dhule, Leader News Service : The Panchayat Samiti Extension Officer of Shirpur has been caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Department of Dhula, who accepted a bribe of eight thousand rupees in return for the subsidy for the completion of the work of a new well under the Birsa Munda Agricultural Scheme. For the second day in a row, two bribe-taking officials have been caught in the net, and the Dhule district has become a hotspot for bribe-taking.
An application was made for a new well under the Birsa Munda Krishi Yojana implemented through the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti on a farm land at Mauje Vakpada in the name of the complainant’s mother, a resident of Shirpur taluka. Accordingly, the well was approved. After the excavation and construction of this well was started, the work done from time to time was inspected by the Agriculture Department of the Panchayat Samiti and the first installment amount was received by the complainant. After that, the complainant went to the Agriculture Department of Shirpur Panchayat Samiti to complete the remaining work of the well and inquire about the subsidy bill for this work.
At this time he met Dnyaneshwar Bhagwan Patil. At this time, Patil has approved the work of the second installment and one lakh thirty one thousand rupees has been deposited in the account. Patil told the complainant that he will have to pay ten thousand rupees, after withdrawing the money you will visit me. After demanding the bribe, the complainant contacted Abhishek Patil, deputy superintendent of anti-bribery department of Dhula. The complaint in this regard was verified today. At this time, Patil demanded Rs 8,000 in front of the judges. Also asked to bring this amount. Accordingly, a team of Deputy Superintendent Patil, Police Inspectors Manjit Singh Chavan and Prakash Zodge along with Rajan Kadam, Sharad Katke, Santosh Pavara, Ramdas Barela, Bhushan Khalekar, Sudhir More laid a trap at Hotel Gyanbhai Tea and Breakfast Center in Shirpur city. On this occasion, Extension Officer Dnyaneshwar Patil was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of eight thousand rupees from the complainant. A case has been registered against him under section seven of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
