New Delhi; News Agency: India’s junior women’s hockey team has created history. This team has won the Junior Women’s Asia Cup title. This is the first time that India has made a name for itself in this tournament.

Team India faced South Korea in the final round. India beat South Korea 2-1, the most successful team in the tournament’s history. South Korea has won the tournament the most 4 times. The tournament was scheduled to take place in 2021; But due to Corona, it was played with a delay of two years.

In the semifinal match on Saturday, India defeated Japan 1-0 to reach the final round of the tournament. Along with this, Indian girls also qualified for the Junior World Cup.

2 lakh prize for each player

Hockey India announced that the players will get a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh each. Also the support staff will get a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each.
