Kolhapur: A case has been filed against ‘that’ teacher in Vashi who brutally beat up a school boy leader

Kolhapur; Leading News Service: A case was registered at the Karveer police station on Tuesday against the teacher of Navodaya Academy in Vashi (T.Karveer) who brutally beat up and injured a 12-year-old schoolboy who was going from a residential school to a mutual house because of the memory of his mother. The name of the teacher is Shivaji Pandurang Bhavke (Age 30, Res. Kuradewadi, Post Waghwe, Dist. Panhala).

Taking cognizance of this incident, Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit ordered the Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of Karveer Police Station to file a case against the guilty teacher. After that, a case was registered against the person concerned. The child’s mother Smt. Sangeeta Sardar Jadhav (30, Res. Koparde, Dist. Karveer) filed a complaint against the accused.

After the death of her husband a year and a half ago, a mountain of grief fell on the Jadhav family. Mrs. Jadhav is working in the company and supporting the household. Not being able to bear the burden of his child’s education, he enrolled his only 12-year-old son in Class V in Navodaya Academy, a residential school in Vashi.

A child is beaten for dropping out of mutual school

After four or five days, the boy started crying after remembering his mother. The boy had contacted the school management and requested to be sent home. However, it was avoided. On Monday morning at half past seven, the boy left the school without telling anyone. As soon as the teachers realized this, the child was brought to school. He was beaten up with anger as to why he left the mutual school.

The child’s eye area is black-blue. Moreover, the marks of beating were also visible on the face. As soon as mother Mrs. Jadhav realized this, she rushed to the residential school. The injured child was treated at a government hospital. Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit said while talking to the reporters that a case has been registered against the teacher who beat up as soon as the report of the medical officers was received.
