In this, the pavilion in Vijay Lawn here collapsed and many people were found under it and injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kolhapur. The exact number of injured is not known. Still no incident has been reported in Shiroli police.
Ahuja, a businessman from Gandhinagar, owns Vijay Lawn in the limits of Halondi village in Hatkanangle taluk. This lawn is often rented out for functions. On Monday, the wedding reception started. Around eleven o’clock in the night, it suddenly started raining with gale force winds. The area was literally swept away by the rain. Suddenly the storm started and the pavilion set up for the event, as well as the letters and other materials on the pavilion were blown away. The big pavilion collapsed. Due to this, citizens started fleeing. Some citizens were injured in this. In the middle of the night, four to five ambulances took the injured to a private hospital for treatment.
