City : Leader News Service : The gang of accused who tried to break the Bank of Maharashtra ATM at Wakodi Phata on Nagar-Solapur road has been handcuffed by the local crime branch within 48 hours. Serious crimes have been registered against the accused in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Satara, Beed districts along with the city. Out of the four arrested accused, two are innkeepers. A team of local crime branch has cracked the crime within 48 hours after the incident of breaking the ATM at Wambori Phata early on Sunday morning.

Ajit Arun Thosar (age 22, Res. Matkuli, Dist. Ashti, Dist. Beed, Presently Dist. Sainagar, Dist. Sangamner), Jamir Jafar Pathan (age 21, Res. Khandgaon, Dist. Sangamner), Ravindra Valmik Chavan (age 32), Shubham Poptrao Manjule (age 25, both of Khadki, Kopargaon) are the names of the accused. An attempt was made to break the ATM at Wakodi Fata on the Nagar-Solapur road with the help of a cutter in the early hours of Sunday (9th). However, the thieves escaped when the sirens of the ATM rang. A case was registered at the Bhingar police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the branch manager of the bank, Prashant Ashok Salve.

While investigating this crime, the LCB team saw a car without number plate speeding in Rahuri area. LCB chief Dinesh Aher asked the team to chase the car and instructed a team to lay a trap on the Nagar-Manmad road. The team intercepted the suspect’s car at Khatgaon Takli Shivara and interrogated both of them thoroughly and they confessed to the crime. After that two other accused were arrested by LCB team. Sub-Inspectors Tushar Dhakrao, Sopan Gore, Balasaheb Mulik, Atul Lotke, Sandeep Pawar, Devendra Shelar, Police Naik Ravindra Kardile, Santosh Lodhe, Sandeep Dardalle, Bhimraj Kharse, Ganesh Bhingarde, Furkan Sheikh, Sagar Sasane, Machindra Barde, Amrit Adhav, Balu Gunjal , Meghraj Kolhe, Prashant Rathod, Bhausaheb Kale, Baban Makhare, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, Sambhaji Kotkar, Arun More accomplished this feat.

Both Tosar and Chavan stayed at the inn
Ajit alias Kamle Arun Tosar is a notorious criminal and 11 serious crimes like robbery, robbery preparation, forced theft and theft have been registered against him. 16 serious crimes have been registered against Ravindra Valmik Chavan.

Tractor, car, two-wheeler seized
Two tractors, one car, one bullet, one other motorcycle worth Rs 18 lakh 16 thousand 500 have been seized from the accused. Also, materials such as oxygen cylinder, gas tank, paint spray, steel rod, iron pipe, regulator, nozzle, pliers and mobile were seized.
