A leopard attacked Raju Sheikh who was walking on the road near Kadam Lawns in Sumarala around 10 pm on Sunday night. He is a resident of Bhalekar Mala and works in Gurudev Gas Agency. Raju Sheikh was walking on the road on Sunday night around 10:00 p.m. when the leopard suddenly attacked him at high speed. Sheikh is seriously injured in this attack. He is undergoing treatment in a government hospital.

Meanwhile, for the past few days, citizens have been seeing leopards in the rural areas of Deolali Camp, Nashik Taluka. Also, for the past few days, citizens have been seeing leopards in Nashik Road area. Due to the attack on Sunday, there has been a lot of fear among the local citizens and it is being demanded that the forest department should take immediate notice of this and put a cage and lock the leopard to give relief to the local people.
