Jintur; Leading News Service: The body of Talathi Subhash Hol, who went missing after drowning while going to take action against the sand mafia, was found today (26) at 2.45 pm. The submarine team from Aurangabad managed to recover the body after 28 hours. This information was given by Selu Sub Divisional Officer Aruna Sangewar.
Talathi Subhash Hol and Talathi Dhananjay Sonune had gone to Degrus in Jintur taluka to take action against those who were pumping sand in the Purna riverbed on Thursday (25th) around 10:30 in the morning. At this time, he found that the work of extracting sand with the help of tractors was going on on the other bank of the Purna river bed.
Talathi Hol himself entered the river bed with great courage. And while swimming to the other bank, after covering a long distance, he got tired. They drowned in the water as they did not anticipate the water. His colleagues reported the incident to his superiors. Realizing the seriousness of the incident, Sub-Divisional Officer Aruna Sangekar, Jintur In-charge Tehsildar Paresh Chaudhary, Selu Deputy Tehsildar Tharkar Prashant, Talathi Ashtikar Mukund, Jintur Police Sub-Inspector Vishwas Khole reached the spot.
When such an accident occurred while performing one’s duty, grief is being expressed everywhere. Deceased Subhash Hol was a native of Satara district. He is survived by 2 daughters and a son.
