Pune; Leading News Service: Even in summer, the audience-actors are facing difficulties in theatres. As the air conditioning (AC) system in Balgandharva Rangmandir and Yashwantrao Chavan Theater is not working properly, the ‘Ukada’ experiment is currently underway. The audience is shocked by the heat, and the audience along with the actors have demanded that this system should be repaired as soon as possible. When will the problems like increased mosquito infestation in theaters with air conditioning system, lack of drinking water facility end? This question has been raised by the audience along with the actors.
Balgandharva Rangmandir, Yashwantrao Chavan Theatre, Demokratir Anna Bhau Sathe Auditorium, along with a large number of cultural programs, are experimented with plays. But, the problems in the theaters have left the actors and audiences baffled. Even in summer, the audience is suffering from heat as the air conditioning system of Balgandharva Rangmandir and Yashwantrao Chavan theater is not working properly.
On the other hand, the air conditioning system in Balgandharva Rangmandir has been repaired and the air conditioning system (AC) in Yashwantrao Chavan theater will be replaced soon, said Vijay Shinde, manager of Balgandharva Rangmandir. Theater producer Bhagyashree Desai said, ‘The problems in the theater are not so new. Although the air conditioning system is on, it is partially functional. So the audience-artists are shocked. This system should be implemented properly.’
Sunil Mahajan, president of ‘Samvad Pune’ said, ‘The air conditioning system in Balgandharva Rangmandir and Yashwantrao Chavan theater is not working properly in summer. In it, there is a picture that the audience is upset due to the increase of mosquitoes in the Balgandharva Rangmandir, and the facilities are not being provided in the manner in which the audience comes to see the play by buying a ticket.
Repair work of air conditioning system is in planning. We have talked to the electricity department about it. Balgandharva Rangmandir and Yashwantrao Chavan Theater are not switched off. The air conditioning system in Balgandharva Rangmandir has been repaired. The entire air conditioning system of the Yashwantrao Chavan theater will be replaced soon.
