Sangli – Death of Maws brothers after drowning in the river in Tandulwadi leader

Itkare: Paddari News Service – At Tandulwadi in Valwa taluka, a number of brothers and sisters who went to the riverside to fetch varana drowned in the varana river. This incident took place on Friday around 3 pm. Both bodies were found in the river on Saturday morning. The names of these unfortunate children are Amol Prakash Sutar (age 16, resident of Tandulwadi) and Raviraj Uttam Sutar (age 12, resident of Sadashivgad, Rajmachi, sub-district Karad, district Satara). Due to this incident, there is a lot of excitement in the area.

According to the information received from the incident site, the deceased Amol Sutar had gone to his farm on the banks of the Warna river on Friday along with Mavsabhau Raviraj, who was on vacation for a week. When his sister called him from home at 2 pm, he said that he was having trouble. But even after repeated calls, the phone was not picked up. So why the children who had gone for morning play did not come yet, so the people of the house went to the field to see them.

Both were not in the field at that time. So the search for them started. Then their clothes, slippers, mobile phones were seen on the river bank. So it was suspected that they might have drowned in the river. The incident was reported to the Kurlap police station. Assistant Police Inspector Deepak Jadhav came to the spot and started a search operation. But the search mission was stopped due to darkness.

The search operation was resumed at nine o’clock on Saturday. At that time, the bodies of both were found in the river bed in the same area around Malewadi Jackwell. Seeing the dead body, the relatives of both the families burst into tears.

Even the slight animosity these brothers drew was the same in the field. It is being speculated that they may have gone down to the riverbed to swim because of the heat. Neither could swim. Amol Sutar has passed his 10th standard examination and his parents are doing agriculture and daily wage. He is an only child and has two sisters. While his maternal uncle Raviraj has given his fifth examination. He had come to his aunt for summer vacation. He has one brother and his father is a Gram Panchayat employee in Sadashivgad.
