runway; Leading News Service: Dodamarg Taluka Traders Union President and Shiv Sena (Shinde Group) City Chief Lavu Mirkar (50) passed away on Sunday (4th) evening due to a short illness. He died during treatment at Bamboli Goa. He was ill for the last two months with kidney and heart disease. His mother passed away a month ago. Due to his death, a mountain of grief has fallen on the Mirkar family.
He was working as the President of Dodamarg Taluka Traders Association for more than fifteen years. He was always striving for the interests of the traders in the taluk. He has also contributed significantly in the cultural and political field of Dodamarg. He was also Shiv Sena’s Dodamarg city chief. He did the magic of getting his wife Sushma Mirkar elected as a corporator in the first term of the Kasai-Dodamarg Nagar Panchayat. He held the post of President and Secretary of Pimpaleshwar Public Ganesha Festival and Navratri Festival Board for some time. Currently he is also working as a member of the board. His demise has created an irreparable void in the social, cultural and political spheres of Dodamarg. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, brother, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.
