Thane, Leader News Service : A shocking incident of a 55-year-old man raping a 6-year-old minor girl in Majiwada area of Thane came to light on Monday afternoon. Police informed that the victim girl has been admitted to Thane Civil Hospital for treatment and her condition is stable. Meanwhile, the murder accused was detained by Kapurbavdi police from Mumbai on Monday night. The police investigation has revealed that the accused committed this act under the influence of alcohol. He is originally from West Bengal and currently resides in Majiwada area.
The accused was familiar with the victim’s family and used to visit their house. Taking advantage of this identity, the murderous accused ran away after abusing the little girl on Monday afternoon. The incident came to light after the victim girl narrated the incident to her parents. A case was registered under POSCO Act in this case. As soon as the case was registered, the Kapurbawdi police formed two teams to search for the accused. The team arrested the accused in front of Mahim station on Monday night. The accused also confessed to the police that he was preparing to flee to the state of Bengal.
