Roads leading from Palkhi Margh to Palkhi Bases should be repaired before Vari. Street lights should be arranged on the roads where necessary. Also, he gave instructions to the concerned that the Palkhi base should be cleaned, water should be supplied abundantly, along with the Palkhi resting place and the slats of the base should be repaired. Minister Ravindra Chavan said that information boards should be put up on the palanquin route and at the bases. Public Works Minister Chavan also suggested that notice boards should be put up in the facades, assuming the possibility of changes in the palanquin route due to the works of new highways.
