Solapur: Roads should be made in good condition before the start of Ashadhi Vari – Minister Ravindra Chavan leader

Pandharpur, Leader News Service : Ashadhi Suddh Ekadashi ceremony will be held on June 29. A large number of Varkari devotees come for this ceremony along with Sant Shrestha Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj with palanquin ceremony. To avoid their inconvenience, the roads leading to Palkhi base from Wari routes should be repaired before Wari. Acne should be done where necessary. Pits should be filled. Ravindra Chavan, Minister of State for Public Works (excluding Public Enterprises), Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, has given such instructions on Friday (9th) that the side belt works should be done.

Minister Ravindra Chavan on Friday reviewed the condition of the roads on Palkhital and Marga in the wake of Asadhi floods. At this time, he gave instructions to the concerned. He inspected the arena system at Natepute in Solapur district, Palkhital in Jamapur and arena in Purandavade. On this occasion MLA Rahul Kul, Chief Engineer Atul Chavan, Superintending Engineer Sanjay Mali, former Deputy Chairman of Malshiras Panchayat Samiti Arjunsingh Mohite Patil, Executive Engineer Amit Nimkar, Sunita Patil, Chief Nagar Panchayat Madhav Khandekar were present along with the concerned department officers.

Roads leading from Palkhi Margh to Palkhi Bases should be repaired before Vari. Street lights should be arranged on the roads where necessary. Also, he gave instructions to the concerned that the Palkhi base should be cleaned, water should be supplied abundantly, along with the Palkhi resting place and the slats of the base should be repaired. Minister Ravindra Chavan said that information boards should be put up on the palanquin route and at the bases. Public Works Minister Chavan also suggested that notice boards should be put up in the facades, assuming the possibility of changes in the palanquin route due to the works of new highways.
