Pune: The 86-year-old director of Cosmos Bank has been jailed for six months leader

Pune; Leading News Service: The court sentenced the director of Cosmos Bank to simple imprisonment for six months and a fine of Rs. The director’s name is Mukund Laxman Abhyankar (Age 86, Res. Model Colony, Shivajinagar). First Class Magistrate S. C. Dugaonkar gave this verdict. The order states that if the fine is not paid, one month additional imprisonment will be required.

The accident took place on July 17, 2016 around 2.30 pm in front of Abhyudaya Bank on Bhandarkar Road. The woman who died in the accident has been identified as Arundhati Girish Hasbanis (age 29, resident of Narhe). Vikram Sushil Dhoot (age 35, Res. Shivajinagar) filed a complaint in this regard at Deccan Police Station.

On behalf of the government party, Adv. Girish Bargaje presided over the proceedings. He examined 17 witnesses. Meanwhile, while arguing on behalf of the defense, Adv. Rishikesh Ganu said, all the evidence filed by the prosecution is false and is not admissible. Also, it was stated during the arguments that all the witnesses are fake and their testimony is false. Refuting the defense arguments, Adv. Bargje, the crime committed by the accused is serious. He demanded maximum punishment. Assistant Police Faujdar Dattatray Thanekar assisted in the court proceedings.
