Mahalunge Ingle, Lead News Service: After the intense heat, on Monday (29th May) around 6 pm, the Chakan industrial area was literally lashed by unseasonal rain along with hail. Due to this sudden rain, the farmers in the area were in great trouble. Harvesting of summer groundnut and sorghum is going on in the fields and the farmers are scrambling to cover the sorghum. Due to sudden rain and wind, power supply was interrupted.
Unseasonal rains occurred in the villages of Mahalunge Ingle, Kalawadi, Nanekarwadi, Medankarwadi, Kadachiwadi, Bham Santoshnagar, Kuruli, Nighoje, Moi, Khalumbre, Birdwadi, Ambethan in Chakan and industrial areas. There was rain in the area along with thunder and lightning. Due to this rain, mango crops will be affected. After this rain, the atmosphere became pleasant.
