Pune; Leading News Service: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) suspects that terrorists were preparing to film sensitive places in the city through drone cameras, and the matter is being thoroughly investigated. Police have seized drone camera equipment from two terrorists who were planning to carry out an attack in the city. On the other hand, the police investigation has revealed that these terrorists have rented houses in two places. Both these houses are in Kondhwa area. Police have seized another laptop and a mobile phone from another house. From the material found with both of them, it has been revealed that they are also experts in making bombs.
NIA has started interrogation of two terrorists who were caught in Kothrud area. It has been found in the investigation of ‘NIA’ that they had a plan to explode by placing explosives in the two-wheelers. Information is being sought about the whereabouts of these terrorists in Pune and their accomplices who have escaped are being searched for.
Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yaku Saki (age 24), Mohammad Im-an Mohammad Yusuf Khan (age 23, both currently resident of Chetna Garden, Mithanagar, Kondhwa) were preparing to steal a two-wheeler from Kothrud area. They were caught by a patrolling police team. His accomplice Mohammad Shahnawaz Alam (age 31) has escaped and is being searched for.
Items like fake Aadhaar card, drone material, cartridge, white colored bullets, leather wallet for pistol, electronic weighing fork have been seized from Im-an Khan, Yunus Saki. Pune is the southern headquarters of the army. There are important military as well as research institutes including the National Defense Intelligence Agency. The NIA suspects that the terrorists were preparing to inspect sensitive places in the city. In that regard, they are being investigated.
White colored pills have been recovered from Khan and Saki and the pills have been sent to the forensic laboratory for examination. The terrorists were living in Kondhwa area for the last one and a half years. A police investigation revealed that the landlord had not registered their tenancy agreement.
Houses for rent in two locations
The police investigation revealed that the two arrested terrorists and the fugitive Alam had rented houses in two places in Kondhwa area. Police have found another laptop and mobile phone there. Therefore, it is predicted that big information will come out.
Investigation to ‘ATS’
After the Kothrud police nabbed the two terrorists, the investigation into the crime has now been handed over to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). Senior officials in the city police agency gave information about this. Against this backdrop, senior ATS officers thoroughly interrogated the two terrorists on Saturday. After examination of the electronic materials seized from the possession of the duo, major information is likely to come out. Sources said that the investigation of ATS is going on in that regard.
