Bike rider seriously injured in car collision on Sinhagad Ghat road leader

Khadakwasla (Pune); Leading News Service: Sinhagad was crowded with tourists since Sunday morning. A two-wheeler tourist was seriously injured when a car collided with a two-wheeler near Golewadi toll booth on the Ghat road. Pune-Panshet road on Khadakwasla Dam Chowpatty has been strictly planned by the police and the local citizens along with the tourists have been relieved from the traffic jams on holidays. Balasaheb Jivde, Sandeep Koli, Nitin Gole and security guards of Sinhagad Forest Division immediately sent the injured tourist to the hospital for treatment.

During the day, 353 four-wheeler and 556 two-wheeler vehicles of tourists were reported to have arrived at the fort. Around twelve in the afternoon, traffic jams occurred for some time due to the fact that the parking lot on the ghat was full of people and vehicles lined up directly on the ghat road. The security guards had to run from Kondhapur Phata to the parking lot to smooth the traffic. Compared to last Sunday, the number of tourists was more today. As the number of vehicles heading towards Pune increased in the evening, the picture of traffic jam was seen for some time.

Tourists should not descend in Khadakwasla Dam, security guards were guarding the area. So, the police were also deployed at Chowpatty. Due to this, the tourists coming down to the dam were stopped. Twenty police personnel including three officers from Haveli police station were deployed to smoothen the traffic on Panshet road. Police were stationed everywhere from Khadakwasla Dam Chowk.
