Biloli; Leading News Service: An accident involving a car and a truck took place on the Pune-Solapur highway near the village of Malwat-Chikhali, 40 kilometers from Solapur, on Saturday (1st) at around 11 pm. In this accident, former president of Nanded Zilla Parishad, Babarao Jamnaji Ambdwar (age 72) died. Kolheborgaon died.

Babarao Ambadwar was going by car to meet his son in Pune. A car hit a truck parked near Malwat-Chikhali village on the Pune-Solapur highway. After the accident, help could not be received for almost one and a half hours. The bodies were then taken out of the car with the help of a crane. Ambedwar died on the spot. Drivers Karimkhan Pathan and Ramchandra More are seriously injured in this accident. His relatives have informed that he is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Solapur.

Ambdwar was Sarpanch of Kolheborgaon Gram Panchayat, Chairman of the Society, Chairman of Kundalwadi Agricultural Produce Market Committee for 12 years, Chairman of Biloli Panchayat Samiti, Vice President of Zilla Parishad for two times, Chairman of Health and Education to President of Zilla Parishad for two times from Shiv Sena party. He was elected five times as a member from the Arli Zilla Parishad group in the taluka. At one time he was also elected as an unopposed member from Arli Zilla Parishad. He was the founder president of Chetna Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
