Ajay Bhatnagar: Ajay Bhatnagar appointed as Special Director of CBI leader

New Delhi, Leading News Service: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ajay Bhatnagar has been appointed as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Ministry of Manpower has issued orders in this regard. Bhatnagar, an IPS officer of 1989 batch of Jharkhand cadre, is currently working as Additional Director in CBI. As per the order, Bhatnagar will remain in the post till his retirement on 20 November 2024. (Ajay Bhatnagar)

Ajay Bhatnagar : In office till July 24, 2023

CBI Joint Director Anurag has been appointed as Additional Director. He will hold the post till 24 July 2023. Manoj Shashidhar, a 1994 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, has also been appointed as Additional Director in CBI for three years. Currently, he is working as Joint Director in the Investigation Agency.

The appointment committee of the cabinet has approved the extension of the deputation period of CBI joint director Sharad Agarwal for one year from 31st May 2023 i.e. from 1st June 2023 to 31st May 2024, giving relief from the IPS tenure policy, it has been clarified in this order.
