Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh: Hearing on POCSO cancellation report on Brij Bhushan begins leader

Pudaari Online Desk : Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh : Delhi’s Patiala House Court started hearing on cancellation report filed by Delhi Police in POCSO case. This case has been registered on the complaint of a minor wrestler.

The Delhi Police on Thursday (15) filed a charge sheet against MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, former president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), who is accused of sexually abusing women athletes. The police have filed this charge sheet in two different courts, but in one of these cases, it is learned that the police have given a ‘clean chit’ to Singh. (Brij Bhushan Singh)

The police filed a 1000-page chargesheet in the Rouse Avenue court in the case of sexual assault by six women wrestlers. So, a charge sheet has been filed in the Patiala House Court in the case of sexual assault committed by a minor wrestler. However, the police filed a report to quash the ‘POCSO’ case due to insufficient evidence. Hearing on this cancellation report has been started today on July 4 in Delhi’s Patiala House Court. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh: 7 female wrestlers filed complaints of sexual harassment

7 women wrestlers had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against Brijbhushan with the Delhi Police on April 21. After the complaint, on April 28, the police registered two cases against Brijbhushan. One case was filed based on the complaint of 6 wrestlers, while ‘POCSO’ was filed on the complaint of 1 minor victim.

Former President of Wrestling Federation and BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has been charged under IPC Sections 354, 354D, 345A. Delhi Police Public Relations Officer Suman Nalwa has also informed that a report has been submitted on the basis of the statement of the alleged victim and the victim’s father in the ‘POCSO’ case.
