Chandrapur; Leading News Service: The Traffic Control Branch has launched a drive against the bullet riders who perform stunts by tampering with the silencer. Penal action has been taken against 60 people.
According to the information received by the police, it was noticed by the police department that bullet motor cycle riders were performing stunts with loud noises by changing silencers in Chandrapur city. Also, frequent complaints were made by the citizens regarding the loud noise of the silencer in crowded places. Therefore, a special campaign was launched from January to May 2023 by forming a team to take action against such bullet riders by Traffic Control Branch Chandrapur. During this drive, 60 bullet riders who tampered with loud noises and silencers were penalized under Section 198 and 194 (F) of the Motor Vehicle Act and the silencers were confiscated.
Police Inspector Roshan Yadav under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ravindrasinh Pardeshi, Police Inspector Pravin Kumar Patil led the officers and enforcers of Traffic Control Branch Chandrapur. This campaign will be continued from now on. Citizens should not make any modifications to the silencer in their vehicle or install a loud silencer. Chandrapur Police Force has warned that otherwise punitive action will be taken.
