Pishor, Leader News Service : An incident took place where a married youth from Naigaon in Phulumbri taluka abducted and raped a minor girl. On Monday (17th), the police arrested the accused from Pune district and registered a case under (POSCO) Act. The detailed information about this is that Sopan Raosaheb Gaikwad (age 27) of Phulumbri, Naigaon, was chasing a minor girl who was going to school since 2020. Meanwhile, the accused Gaikwad got married a few years ago and has a son too. Even after marriage, the accused did not stop chasing the minor girl. The minor abducted the girl against her will on July 12 by threatening that I have sold the car and I have money, you run away with me, if you don’t come with me, I will defame your parents and spread the pictures with me on social media. He rented a room in Lohgaon (Haveli Dist. Pune) and started living with the girl.
Meanwhile, despite knowing that the girl is a minor, he established physical relations against the girl’s will. In this regard, after a complaint was filed in the Pishore Police Station that the girl was abducted on July 13, the police personnel, Bhivasane, Lalchand Naglod, Mrs. Malode started searching for the accused and the minor girl. It was reported that this young man was in Pune district with a minor girl. With the help of local police, these two were detained from Lohgaon on Monday, July 17 and brought to Pishore. A case has been registered against the accused youth under POSCO Act. Further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Ram Barhate of the Investigation Team.
