1048 crore allocation; Big discrepancy in statistics

In a written reply, the Minister informed that 1048 crore 76 lakh rupees was distributed to 2 lakh 9,753 eligible applicants under the Sanugrah Aid Scheme to the next of kin of persons who died due to Corona, but actually according to the data of Indian Institute of Medical Research (ICMR), 1 lakh 48,556 corona deaths were recorded in Maharashtra till 20 July 2023.
