Ahmedabad; News Agency: The state government has deployed 184 teams to protect lions in Gir forest in Gujarat from Cyclone Biparjoy. 40 lions in the coastal area are being specially monitored by the teams. (Gir Forest)
There are seven rivers and small lakes in the area where lions exist. Heavy rains increase the water in these rivers and lakes. Teams have been deployed for this. Meanwhile, late Thursday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and inquired about the measures taken to protect the lions. Important materials ready
Around 13 teams of five members have been deployed in the vast desert area of Kutch. Additional 6 wildlife rescue teams have been formed to help wild animals. JCBs, tractors and other necessary materials have been deployed at important places.
