ICC Champions Trophy: Will Pakistan win the Champions Trophy? | leader

New Delhi; News Agency: The Pakistan Cricket Board is still debating over the hosting of the Asia Cup. They have got the host title for this tournament, but BCCI has refused to send a team to Pakistan. After this, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi proposed to the Asian Cricket Council to organize the tournament on a hybrid model. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka cricket boards have rejected the hybrid model. Meanwhile, there are now reports that the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy may be shifted to Pakistan. The 2025 Champions Trophy could be hosted by West Indies and USA instead of Pakistan. Earlier there was talk of shifting West Indies-ICC Champions Trophy T20 World Cup to be held in America in 2024 to England. Cricket grounds in America are still not up to ICC standards. The T20 World Cup being shifted from the US will give them a year to prepare for the Champions Trophy. Pakistan may get some compensation in return for cancellation of ICC tournament.
