There is a flood situation in Assam and 5 lakh people have been affected. 1366 villages were submerged. Crops on 14 thousand hectares have gone under water due to flood.
In Assam, 22 districts including Bajli, Buxa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Golaghat have been heavily damaged.
The Meteorological Department has said that there has been heavy rain in most of North India including Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, there will be continuous rain for the next 5 days.
A rain warning has been issued in eastern Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. Rain is likely in Punjab, Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next three days. Heavy rain is also likely in the southern states of the country for the next 5 days.
Rain in Maharashtra on 25, 26
Rains that started from June 23 in Konkan and Goa may continue till June 26. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be rain everywhere in Maharashtra on June 25 and 26.
