Hingoli: Police sub-inspector killed, two injured in car accident leader

Hingoli, leading news service A police sub-inspector was killed and two others injured in a car accident on Kalamanuri to Akhara Balapur road. This incident took place yesterday (Saturday) around ten o’clock in the night. Police said the name of the deceased police sub-inspector has been identified as Nilakantha Laxman Dandage (aged 50).

Nilakant Dandage, who is working in the Hingoli District Police Force, became a Sub-Inspector of Police two years ago by passing the departmental examination. Presently he was working in Nagpur City Police Station. Meanwhile, on Saturday evening, while he was coming to Hingoli by car from Akhara Balapur with a friend, his car met with an accident. In this, sub-inspector Dandage and his friends Gajanan Prabhakar Rathod, Shivaji Madhav Gaikwad, who were in the car, were thrown out of the car. After receiving the information about the accident which took place at night, Kalmanuri Police, Superintendent of Police Prashant Deshpande, Kalmanuri Police Inspector Vaijnath Munde, Assistant Police Inspector Rekha Shahare, Jamadar Dilip Pole, Devidas Suryavanshi, Gajanan Holkar immediately rushed to the spot.

The police admitted all the three to Kalamanuri rural hospital for treatment. But the medical authorities announced that Sub-Inspector Dandage had died. The police said that Shivaji Gaikwad and Gajanan Rathod are being treated. Meanwhile, the deceased Dandage is a resident of Jamgavan village in Aundha Nagnath taluka. It is said that he is survived by his mother, father, wife and two children.
