Latur, Chief Executive Officer: The accused, who was the main mastermind of the 2 crore 98 lakh robbery in the city, was finally arrested by the police of the local crime branch. His name is Vijay Gaekwad and he has been handed over to Vivekananda Chowk police for further action. According to the information provided by the police, on October 12, 2022, at midnight, unknown accused in the house of a businessman in Katpur Shivara looted a total of Rs. A case was registered in Vivekananda Chowk police station in this case.

After investigating this crime, the Latur police arrested the accused from different places like Latur, Pune, Jalna in just ten days and seized the items stolen in the robbery. The main mastermind of this crime, Vijay Gaikwad, was absconding for eight months. Various teams of the local crime branch were looking for him but could not be found as he kept changing his residence. To arrest him, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Somay Munde, under the leadership of Police Inspector Gajanan Bhatalwande of the local crime branch, a special team of police officers and officials from Sthagusha was sent to various places of the accused.

Meanwhile, on July 9, information was received through intelligence that the accused Vijay Gaikwad was staying at Abulkalam Chowk on 60 Foot Road, on the basis of which a team of the local crime branch reached the place and arrested Vijay Gaikwad and handed him over to the Vivekananda Chowk police.
