After arriving at Balasore, a special helicopter of the Air Force reached the crash site at Bahanga Bazar. There he first took information about the accident from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Inspected the ongoing relief work at the accident site. He held discussions with local administration, NDRF, railway officials there. ANI reported that the Prime Minister instructed the Cabinet Secretary and the Health Minister to pay personal attention to the injured and their families. Speaking to the media, Prime Minister Modi said that the Balasore train accident is very painful. The government will not make any mistake for the treatment of the injured in this accident. This accident is very serious and it has been ordered to be investigated by all departments. Convicts will be severely punished. Railway is working to smooth the railway track. Modi said that he went to the hospital and inquired about the injured.

A high-level meeting was held in New Delhi on Saturday morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the Balasore train accident in Odisha. In this meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the railway accident. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior railway officials were present in the meeting. After the meeting, the Prime Minister left for the spot. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister had expressed grief after the train accident on Friday itself. Help has been announced for those who died and seriously injured in the accident.
