Leader Online Desk: In the last year in 2022, more than 15 thousand people have died in road accidents in the state. ANI reported that 57 percent of these were bike riders, while 21 percent were pedestrians.
According to the information provided by the Maharashtra Police, 4922 people have died in road accidents in the state from January 2023 to April 2023. The Maharashtra Police has also said that around 6,845 people have been injured in road accidents.

71 thousand 319 people have died in 1 lakh 67 thousand 700 road accidents in the state from January 2018 to April 2023. Most of the dead are cyclists, and the death rate of pedestrians is also significant.
