Solapur, Udari News Service : Four disgruntled ex-Corporators of BJP in Solapur have finally left the BJP. The progress of all these Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has started to move towards it. Suresh Patil, who has been elected to the Municipal Corporation for five consecutive terms since 1997, has held the position of Speaker and House Leader of the Municipal Standing Committee.

Late BJP leader, former MP Lingraj Valyal’s son, former corporator Nagesh Valyal as well as Santosh Bhosale, Rajshree Chavan and Juganbai Ambewale have sent their resignations to BJP’s city president Vikram Deshmukh and state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Suresh Patil, who is considered to be aggressive in nature, joined the BJP thirty years ago holding the hand of late leader Lingraj Valyal. But after the BJP came to power in the Municipal Corporation in 2017, factionalism within the party increased and Suresh Patil distanced himself from the party’s MLA Vijay Deshmukh. Especially after Vijay Deshmukh became guardian minister, factionalism got more fuel. From that, Suresh Patil was poisoned. Of course, the police investigation could not come out with a final conclusion. But the atmosphere in the BJP was contaminated in the city due to the alleged poison experiment. In this, Vijay Deshmukh and Subhash Deshmukh, then Ministers, Suresh Patil, Nagesh Valyal, party’s city president Prof. Ashok Nimbergi and others were thrown out of the party circle. Prof. Nimbergi preferred to resign from the party and go directly to the Congress

In this background, on the occasion of Ashadhi Vari at the end of last month, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met Nagesh Valyal Suresh Patil and others. He was invited to join the BRS party. After that Valyal and other three Maji corporators have given leave to BJP. Suresh Patil is also in the mindset of leaving the party. Attempts to contact them did not get a response. But curiosity about his next role has increased. On the whole, it is being speculated that due to this incident, BJP’s difficulty in the city north constituency may increase in the upcoming assembly elections.
