Karad, Leader News Service: Next month, before August 10, the Assembly Speaker will have to take a decision regarding the disqualification of MLAs including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Since what this decision will be is as clear as the sun, preparations are now being made for the post of Chief Minister, which will be vacant next month. The group which has split from NCP was under the umbrella of ED. Therefore, this splinter group is not considered a NCP group but an ED group. Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has expressed the opinion that if there are not more than 36 MLAs with Ajit Pawar, then the splinter group with Ajit Pawar will be in the quandary of disqualification.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned the name of NCP President MP Sharad Pawar Supriya Sule in Bhopal regarding the 70 thousand crore scam. After that within two days the NCP split and a group led by Ajit Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal joined the BJP. It is a contradiction in politics that people who have serious allegations have been given ministerial posts. Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said that all those who were under the umbrella of ED had gone with the BJP so that they could sleep well at night.
Although a group of NCPs along with Ajit Pawar joined the BJP, Chavan expressed his belief that the Maha Vikas Aghadi will fight strongly against all powerful casteist parties in the state. Along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, there must be more than 36 MLAs from NCP. NCP’s total strength in the Legislative Assembly is 53. NCP president Sharad Pawar said in a press conference that many MLAs submitted contacts and said that they are with the party, recalling that if 20 MLAs stand firm with MP Sharad Pawar, then like Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and all his colleagues will be disqualified, the former Chief Minister opined. Prithviraj Chavan expressed.
