Solapur; Zakirhussain Pirzade: Ajit Pawar’s supporters in Solapur district will gain strength as Nationalist Party leader Ajit Pawar came to power with the support of his 35 MLAs. By taking NCP along with it, BJP’s dominance will increase in Solapur city as well as rural areas. Local self-government bodies in rural areas will be taken over.
Once NCP was known as the stronghold of Solapur district. Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, Municipality and Mohol, Karmala, Madha taluk, North Solapur taluk of the special rural areas are still dominated by NCP but Ajit Dada’s rebellion is likely to split Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar’s supporters. This may affect the upcoming elections. NCP surveyors believe that Sharad Pawar is more of an old leader, while Ajit Pawar is believed by the youth. Even though Ajitdad’s nature is fickle, the class that respects him is more in Solapur as well.
Mohol MLA Yashwant Mane supported Ajit Dada, while MLA Babandada Shinde has taken the stand of both sides. Therefore, Ajit Pawar’s supporters will gain strength due to Pawar’s revolt. By going with BJP, the development fund will also be available soon. It is certain that the Ajitdada group of NCP will benefit from being with the BJP in all the upcoming elections. Now the discussion has already started that the BJP will take the NCP along with it and make Solapur city as well as the rural areas.
Without the Guardian Minister, Solapur will remain a child
The cabinet was going to be expanded within a few days, so there was a possibility that Solapur district would get a guardian minister of right in Solapur. But due to Ajit Dada’s rebellion, the BJP has given the ministership of the Shiv Sena of the Shinde group to the NCP, now there is a discussion that there is little possibility that Solapur will not get a minister in the cabinet expansion that will happen soon. Therefore, this year too, due to the lack of guardian minister of rights in Solapur, the discussion is going on in the political arena that Solapur will remain a child.
