Ahmednagar; Leading News Service: Some parts of the district received pre-monsoon rain along with gale-force winds on Sunday (4th) afternoon. Farmers got involved in it. Srigonda, Nevasa, Jamkhed talukas received light rain. A toll booth on the Kalyan-Visakhapatnam highway collapsed on the road at Badewadi in Pathardi taluk. As it was afternoon, there was not much traffic. The workers escaped unhurt due to the iron shears inside.

This toll plaza is about three kilometers from Yeli village on the highway towards Kharwandi. There was toll collection from Asmi Road Carrier of Nagpur. He has appointed a local agent for that. There are total four lanes and two sublanes. The storm started around 2:30 in the afternoon. In five-six minutes, the entire shed collapsed with a loud noise.

Letters hung on iron angles on the side where the staff were. Manager Pappu Khode said that there was no harm to the employees. According to the people of the area, the shed at the toll nakaya was rushed to start this toll nakaya four years ago by bringing old sheds from other places. Therefore, the issue of security became secondary.
