About 14 percent foreign tourists visit the state every year. These tourists visit only certain parts of the state. It is possible to implement new concepts to attract local and foreign tourists everywhere in the state. In this background, the idea of ​​heli tourism project has come forward.

This project has a huge opportunity in the state. It is believed that heli tourism will boost the local economy and contribute to direct and indirect employment generation. Due to this, the Directorate of Tourism is trying to implement this scheme in every district of the state.
Under the heli tourism concept, helipad and other tourist facilities will be provided at the district headquarters. Also, a helipad and other tourist facilities will be provided at the tourist destination where the proposed helipad is to be reached. For this, taking into consideration the tourism capacity of the district, the number of tourists visiting the tourist places, the ‘USP’ of the district, the Directorate of Tourism has invited proposals for the development of heli tourism with at least 2 to 5 acres of government land for the heli tourism project.

Huge employment opportunities in the tourism sector

Tourism sector has a major contribution in the economic development of the state. According to the state government, 5.9 million people are getting direct and indirect employment through the tourism industry. Heli tourism will also create employment opportunities.
