Ghansawangi, Leader News Service: Two people drowned in a lake at Talegaon in Ghansavagi taluka. It was revealed on Friday morning that Bharat Yede (17) and Archana Sanjay Bhalerao (15, both of Talegaon) drowned in water while they were going to graze goats from Talegaon. Abhijit Yede and Archana Bhalerao had gone to feed the goats on Thursday morning. However, the goats came home around five o’clock in the evening, but as the two did not come home, the relatives started searching for them. They questioned the surrounding farmers.
Abhijit Yede’s shoes were seen floating on the water in the lake at Talegaon around 8 pm. A water bottle was also seen at the same place. This information was given to Ambad police. In the morning, when the relatives watched, Abhijit Yede’s body came out. Later, Archana Bhalerao’s body was also recovered. The police sent the body to the primary health center at Rani Unchegaon for autopsy. After autopsy, the body was handed over to the relatives, informed Beit Jamadar M. B. Scott said.
