Azra: Leading News Service: Goa-made liquor worth four and a half lakhs was seized near Hectoria bridge on Azra-Gadhinglaj route. This action was taken by Gadhinglaj State Excise Department. In this case, Shivaji Ananta Dhaygude (age 55, resident of Fatimanagar, Pune) has been detained and arrested along with a four-wheeler (MH 12 DY 4593).

According to the orders of the Superintendent of State Excise Ravindra Awale, strict orders have been issued to prevent the sale and transportation of fake Goa liquor in Kolhapur district. According to Gadhinglaj State Excise Inspector Sachin Bhavad, Second Inspector Kiran Patil, Laxman Patil, Bharat Sawant, Sandeep Jankar, Sandeep Chaugule were patrolling in Azra taluk.

At this time, the suspected four-wheeler of Dhaygude was found near Victoria Pool near Azra. After the vehicle was searched, 35 boxes of Goan-made liquor were found in the car. Along with the vehicle, a total of 4 lakh 48 thousand 520 rupees worth of goods were seized.
