Kolhapur: Nikesh from a remote area in Radhanagari won a gold medal in an international competition leader

Koulav; Leading News Service: Nikesh Ananda Dwari from the remote village of Chowke in Radhanagari taluka has bagged the gold medal in the 400m race at the U-19 400m International Field Championships held in Pokhara, Nepal. With this success, the quality of the hilly and remote soil has come to the fore.

Four countries namely India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan participated in this tournament. He won the silver medal in the national competition organized by the Youth Games Federation of India and qualified for the international competition. Practicing without any advanced facilities in the remote village of Chowke, affected by the Dhamani project, he has achieved this feat. He did his secondary education and took running lessons at New English School Chowke and is currently studying in class 12th at Sahyadri Junior College in Dhamod. Nikesh is lauded for his success in the face of adversity.
