Murgood, Leading News Service: The International Malla Kuhaswati Sanjay Shinde here was announced the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award for the year 2021-22 by the Government of Maharashtra. This was celebrated in Murgud town by bursting firecrackers and distributing sugar canes. Swati took wrestling lessons at Sadashivarao Mandalik Wrestling Complex here in Lokne.
She has won gold and many medals till date at national and international level. She was mentored by wrestling coaches Dadaso Lovete, Dayanand Khatkar, Sagar Desai, Vastad Sukhdev Yerudkar. Also, got encouragement from MPs Sanjay Mandlik, Virendra Mandlik. Swati’s father Sanjay Shinde expressed his happiness after his daughter received the Shiv Chhatrapati Award. He said that the tura of Mana was buried in Murgud’s veins today.
