Nagpur; Leading News Service: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari informed that NDBB will set up a dairy project at Butibori in Nagpur district at a cost of Rs 500 crore. In Delhi along with senior officials of the Union Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying No. Gadkari held a meeting today.

Vidarbha-Marathwada Dairy Development Project is being implemented in collaboration with National Dairy Development Board, Government of India and Government of Maharashtra for economic upliftment of farmers in Vidarbha and Marathwada regions. Through this project, a target of collection of 10 lakh liters of milk per day has been set in this area. Also, through NDDB, a mega manufacturing plant will be set up at Butibori by investing nearly 500 crores in Nagpur for the production of milk and milk products. Secretary Alka Upadhyay ji, NDDB Chairman Minesh Shah and senior officers were present in this meeting.
