API Sudarshan Dater, a resident of Nashik and working in Jalgaon district, who died when a tree fell on a police vehicle in Jalgaon district while on his way to investigate a crime, was cremated in the cemetery of Ambad village with state honors. A large number of government officials, people from various political and social sectors and citizens of Panchkroshi were present on this occasion along with their relatives.

A tree suddenly fell on the vehicle of the Economic Crime Branch team on the road near Anjani Dam while going towards Erandol-Kasoda in Jalgaon district around 8.45 pm on Thursday (29th). Sudarshan Dater, Assistant Police Inspector of Economic Offenses Branch (Rest. Ambad Gaon, Nashik) and driver Ajay Chaudhary were killed on the spot in this accident. Three employees Chandrakant Shinde, Nilesh Suryavanshi, Bharat Jethwe were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to Erandol Rural Hospital for treatment. On getting information about this incident, Assistant Police Inspector Yogita Narkhede of Kasoda Police Station immediately reached the spot. The injured policemen were evacuated with the help of locals. The police informed that this team of Economic Offenses Branch is going to investigate a case in Pilkhod. Deceased API Sudarshan Dater is a resident of Ambad, as soon as the news of his death came to light, mourning spread over the village of Ambad. Many villagers had left for Jalgaon by vehicle at night. After bringing his body to his residence in Ambad on Friday afternoon, his relatives broke into a single mourning. He was cremated in the cemetery at Ambad village around 2.30 in the afternoon with state honors.

On this occasion, those present announced ‘Sudarshan Dater Amar Rahe’. On this occasion MLA Seema Here, Special Inspector General of Police of Nashik area Dr. B. G. Shekhar, Superintendent of Police Shahaji Umap, Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandrakant Khandvi, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shekhar Deshmukh, Senior Police Inspector of Ambad Police Station Srikant Nimbalkar, Police Inspector Raju Pachorkar, Manpa CIDCO Divisional Officer Dr. Citizens of Panchkroshi along with Mayur Patil and others were present. Dater is survived by wife, son, mother, father, brother. The death of Dater, who was known as a farmer’s son to a police officer, is expressing grief everywhere.
