Raigad, Leading News Service : Applications of 2 lakh 60 thousand students have been finalized for 1 lakh 51 thousand 576 seats in the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) admission process this year. In it, students tend more towards electrician, wireman, fitter, welder courses. Along with courses like dress making, computer operator, cosmetology, fashion technology, needle technology, courses like electrician, wireman have also been preferred by girls.
Electrician courses seem to be the most popular in the admission process of industrial training institutes. As many as 1 lakh 57 thousand 703 students have filled preference for 20 thousand seats of electrician course, followed by 92 thousand students have opted for wireman course.
ITI provides training in 86 types of business courses to 10th passed and failed students. In the last few years, it is seen that ITI admission is getting a lot of preference from the students. Students are preferring courses like Electrician, Fitter, Machinist Diesel, Motor Mechanic, Electronics Machinist. These courses are getting preferred by the students because of the job opportunities in the industry sector.
