Pune : Leader News Service The palanquins of Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj are arriving in Pune on Monday. In the wake of the Palkhi ceremony, the Health Department of the Municipal Corporation has prepared medical teams, free medicines, ambulances, spraying insecticides.
Kamala Nehru Hospital in the city, Dr. Naidu Communicable Disease Hospital, 18 Maternity Hospitals, 16 Blood Banks, 2 Mobile Clinics and 1 Immunization Center have been operationalized. Apart from this, facilities of 10 beds each have been made available in all private hospitals on Palkhi Marg. During the palanquin, 86 medical officers and staff will be deployed with health facilities.
21 medical teams will be available on Sri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg, while 16 medical teams will be available on Sri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg.
It will have a manpower of 62 Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, 5 Circuit Medical Officers, 2 Gynaecologists, 40 Nurses, 24 Pharmacists, 69 Staff. 2 ambulances will be provided in each circle. All medical officers and staff teams will be present from morning at Phule Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Patil Estate Wakdewadi along with first aid. The medical teams will stay with the palanquin till Saswad stay. Rafi Mohammed Kidwai School at Bhawani Peth and Nanasaheb Badde Dawakhana at Nana Peth will remain open 24 hours for treatment.
In healthcare approach
Adequate stock of medicines for epidemic diseases like Corona, Dengue, Chikungunya, as well as general diseases has been kept available for the patients.
Free medication and medical teams on both palanquin routes.
Municipal 3, 108 numbered 25 and private 12 ambulances.
Stray and stray dogs will be caught on the palanquin route and stay.
Meat, fish shops on Palkhi Marg closed during Palkhi period.
Spraying of insecticides at Palkhi Marg, stay places, Dharamshalas, municipal schools, government offices.
