Rajura shooting case: Dohen’s wife killed in an attempt to save her neighbor’s life! Accused arrested leader

Chandrapur; Leading News Service: Due to previous enmity, two accused shot and killed the wife of a BJP office-bearer in Rajura city at around 9:30 on Sunday (23rd) night. In this incident, neighbor Shergil entered Sachin Dohe’s house to save his life. The police investigation has revealed that Dohe’s wife was killed in the firing on him. This incident took place on Sunday (24th) around 9:30 PM in Somnathpura ward of Rajura city. Navjot Singh and a minor accused have been arrested in this incident.

According to police sources, accused Lalli Shergil of Somnathpura ward in Rajura city and Sachin Dohe of BHAYUMO are neighbors. Two years ago, Lalli Shergil had beaten the brother of accused Navjot Singh. Since then the killer was watching the plaintiff through the window. On Sunday (24th) at around 9:30 pm, Lalli Shergil was at home when two assassins went to his house and tried to kill him by shooting him with a Gavathi-made pistol. But he somehow escaped with his life. He took shelter at Sachin Dohe’s house. As he was running away, the assassin shot him. He was injured in this. Sachin Dohe’s wife Purvsha opened the door at the sound of gunfire. The bullet fired by the killers at Shergil hit Purvsha the moment she opened the door. The plaintiff survived as he sat down to save his life. Purvsha died on the spot.

There were 5 bullets in the Gavathi pistol in this incident. The accused fired four rounds. Out of these one bullet hit the dead woman and one hit the injured plaintiff. Dohe’s innocent wife died while the plaintiff tried to save his own life. After this incident, Dohe’s two children, a boy and a little girl, have been separated from their mother. After the accused escaped from the spot, the incident was reported to the Rajura police.

The police reached the spot and searched for the accused. But the killers were not caught. As soon as Deputy Superintendent of Police Rina Janbandhu came to know, he reached Rajura Police Station by train at night despite flood conditions. After Shergil, who was injured in the firing, was shifted to the district general hospital, three teams of police sub-inspectors Dhamendra Joshi, Omprakash Meshram, Sadanand Vadatkar were appointed under the leadership of sub-divisional police officer Khushal Nagargoje to search for the accused. A team of constables Tirupati Jadhav, Khushal Tekam, Ram Bingewar, Mahesh Kondhawar, Shekhar Mathankar arrested both the accused in the night. They include 20-year-old Navjot Singh and a minor accused. The accused have been booked and arrested under Sections 302, 307, 34 Mumbai Police Act 135, 3,25 of the Weapons Act.
