Yavatmal; Leading News Service: In a village in Yavatmal taluka, two accused gang-raped a woman by giving her alcohol on the pretext of taking her to work. The victim was poisoned. After that, the unconscious woman was brought near her house in the morning and released. However, considering her critical condition, she was admitted to the district hospital at Yavatmal. But she died during treatment. The police have registered a case of murder and arrested both.
The accused have been arrested by the police as Annarao Bhima Dhotre and Ramkisan Raja Shinde (age 55). On June 23, Annarao Dhotre and Ramkisan Shinde took the victim to work on the pretext of taking her to work. She was brought home in the afternoon. Again took her along in the evening. These murderers brutally tortured her till 4.30 am after making her drunk. Then she was poisoned. After that, she was taken to her house in an unconscious state and left. Seeing that she was suffering from poison in her body, the people around her admitted her to the Upazila Hospital.
The victim died on June 26. Police arrested both Annarao Dhotre and Ramkisan Shinde in this case on Monday (July 10).
